I took my car here as I had no heat inside car. I thought it might be the thermostat so I said this to the the person that answered the phone. I took it in day at the time that was agreed. They had car for 10 hrs and never called me when agreed. I had to call them on the 8hr mark and they said it was the thermostat and the wrong part came so would have to wait till they got the right part. After that I waited for the next couple of hours for to collect car. This visit cost 102. This visit didn't fix the problem and next day my car started to over heat. So I called the garage to inform them what had happened and asked if they could see the car next day to solve the issue but they could only see it the day after to replace water pump. As I needed car I called a mechanic out to solve the issue of overheating which they did. I then took car in on the agreed date to replace waterpump. I handed my keys over and informed him that I had got a mechanic to come out and solve the problem of overhearing. To my surprise he tried to hand my keys back and said he would not be doing any more work as I had someone else at it. I managed to explain I could not get him so I had to get some1 else as I need car for my health issues. He had car for 7hrs not the agreed 2 half. He said he would keep me posted on the issue but failed once again. I had to call on 7hr mark to see if the car was ready in which he informed me it was not the water pump. The problem was someone had used a quick fix sealant in the cooling and he had to take all pipes of to clean them. I collected the car and the price was 144. This had seemed to solve the problem only for me to take car on a 1hr journey but by the time I get home there is no heat in cabin and smell coming out vents and smoke coming out engine bay. I could not get into the engine bay as the key lock to open the bonnet broke while at garage. Now I'm very cautious of taking car back here as you can imagine. So i call the mechanic that came to my house to solve the overheating issue. The first thing he says to me is if someone has used a quick fix sealant in the system there must of been a leak. He inspected the car after bursting the bonnet lock. He says the car would hold about 5ltrs of coolant and there was only 1ltr left in it. He filled it up and starts a visual inspection. He finds the leak which is a perished pipe at the back of the engine. He also finds a lot of gunk in this pipe. The pipe this garage has told me they had off and cleaned or flushed. I am just lost for words as they claim to do a job and charge a hell of a lot of money to do it and it turns out they have not. The mechanic says they would of seen this perished pipe had they done it. He also said I was very lucky not to of blown the head gasket with what happened. So please anybody that thinking of going here think again. This is a long review but under the circumstances and what could of been a disaster for me it was necessary to put it in detail.
Knows his diagnostics, very friendly staff
Does a good job friendly and reasonable prices.
Friendly staff, work done quickly, and no problems noticed.
Recently took my car here, I found the service to be sub-standard and the work overpriced. I would not reccomend this garage to anyone.
